Asbestos Testing

DCM Science Lab has over 30 years of experience in asbestos testing. Our analysts have a combined 60 years of analytical experience.

Asbestos is used in a wide variety of building materials and heat resistant products. If damaged, microscopic asbestos fibers become airborne. When inhaled these fibers cause scarring and damage to the lungs, resulting in significant respiratory problems. Asbestos was banned from building materials in the US in the late 1970’s, however, it is not uncommon to find it in those materials after that time.
